A 360 approach to sustainability

At the start and end of each financial/business year we always look back at our core business goals to make sure we continue to deliver on and often exceed our mission statement as a company. One of those core goals that is both present and future looking is our aim to improve sustainability, for us and our customers.

Why is this so important to us? By now we're all probably well aware of the importance for companies and everyone to do their part in reducing the impact climate change is currently having on the planet. Because of this we continue to work towards our business aim of being carbon neutral by 2030.

One way we’re working towards hitting our target is through our Collection, Destruction and Recycling service. You may already be aware of our use of water-based inks, organic Fairtrade cotton and recycled polyester when designing your new uniform, but that’s not all – in fact when your new uniforms or branded items are on their way to you there’s always one thing left to ask:

“What are you going to do with the old uniforms?”

Might seem like a strange question but there’s a method behind our madness we promise. The reason for it is currently only 1% of clothes are actually recycled effectively, yet for every tonne of recycled textiles we can save 3.62 cubic metres of landfill space and ONE TONNE of CO2.

As part of our expectation-exceeding service we also offer a fully secure recycling process for your plain and branded items. We know how valuable your brand image is, we feel exactly the same which is why our security-led recycling scheme offers peace of mind that you may not be aware of. Each piece of old uniform goes through our secure sustainable process before being given a second lease of life as a range of items from desk dividers, flooring and even truck protectors.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and that means looking at more than just what we create but also what we are replacing. So, like the old phrase goes – you give us something old, then we’ll give you something new, OK nothing is going to be borrowed but with our secure recycling you’ll never be feeling blue (or worried that your logo will end up somewhere it shouldn’t)

If you would like to hear more about how we're delivering a “something old and something new” approach to sustainability, then get in touch – we’d love to chat about it with you.
